Cleopatra VII: I'm Closer to the Moon Landing Than to the Pyramids

埃及女王克利奥帕特拉亲口揭秘:她生活的年代距离 1969 年登月,比距离大金字塔建成更近——一条颠覆直觉的历史冷知识。

The Cold Truth

You probably picture me standing next to freshly built pyramids. But when I was born, the Great Pyramid of Giza had already been standing for over 2,000 years.
Built around 2560 BC. I came along in 69 BC. To me, those pyramids were as ancient as I now seem to you.
Here's the mind-bending part: the gap between my lifetime and the 1969 Moon landing is roughly 2,000 years. The gap between my lifetime and the pyramids' construction? Over 2,500 years.
That means I, Cleopatra VII, last pharaoh of Egypt, am historically closer to Neil Armstrong walking on the Moon than to the builders who stacked those stones at Giza.
So next time someone calls me an ancient relic — remember, even I have my own ancient history.

This is "History Whispers" — every day, one historical figure, one cold fact, first person.
